WhatsApp users on Android can now use the voice-calling feature and no need of invitation. The voice-calling feature rolled out in February, but only a small number of people are able to use it and expand it by invitation-only by the people who already using it.
But now it's available for all Android user and no need of invitation. Just update to latest WhatsApp version which is Version 2.12.19
But the latest version may not be available in Google Play Store. If it's not then you have to download it from WhatsApp official site, and its only available as APK file. The installation of APK file is little different, if you don't know how to install APK file then you can check my post about "How To Install APK or Android Package File to Your Android Phone".
The version which is available in Google Play Store version 2.12.5 also comes with the calling feature, but the feature does not work properly with everyone. So it's better that we update to the latest version and use the feature without any flaws.
Currently, the voice-calling feature only available for Android and not for iPhone. I hope that the iPhone version come out soon.
Let's see how to get the APK file for try out WhatsApp Calling feature:
You need to download the WhatsApp APK file, you can download it from WhatsApp Official site. If you don't know how install APK file then see How to Install APK File.
You should never download an APK file from untrusted sites, but here it comes from WhatsApp Official site so its looks legitimate.
After completed the installation when you open the app you will see a new Calls tab just tap that tab and select the person you want to contact.
